If you are going to
truly care for someone else's "fur children", you also have to care
about "fur children"
Marlow
watching the movie Cats & Dogs, while Anatolian Shepherd
"Butch" is on the screen.
Marlowe
on Patrol
Usually you find the
Cowboy
under
the Stetson. Not this time, this is our house cat--Cowboy.
He and Marlowe have become great friends.
Moving
Outside
This is
Cuchulainn
(named after an Irish Warrior) he is Momma's boy. A very good Quarter
Horse. Cu was mis-diagnosed by an incompetent Vet, and is now retired,
at least for now.
This is
Captain
Bob
when it became apparent that Cuchulainn would need to be retired God
& Celeste found me another horse before I even knew I needed
one.
Captain Bob is a Paint horse. We are going to go to school
at
Pine Dell with Jenny & Tony
Vaught, like Cuchulainn & I did.
Captain & I hope to do trail, hunter hack, and maybe
showmanship.
As well as fun trail rides with Denny & Awesome.
Captain Bob is pictured with my friend and mentor,
Captain Jacq.
Captain Bob & I competed in a Natural Horsemanship Versatility
Challenge at Pine Dell. No, we didn't win, but we didn't place last and
Captain had fun!
I do so love a parade. I was riding a little lawn tractor, towing a
little wagon,
Captain Bob,
being a curious sort, fell right in line.
This is
Awesome,
and he certainly is! He is his Dad's roping horse and a real treat
monster too! We call him Awesome the Perfect, because he is!
This is
Jezabel,
she is Momma's Morgan X Paint. She is fun to ride. Very sure
footed, brave and smooth gaited.
This is
Peter.
He was hanging around the barn one night as I walked with the horses to
the barn to feed them. This HUGE bird was in front of the barn. I
thought it must be a turkey. I mean one just does NOT expect to find a
peacock in front of their barn. Then the huge bird with what looked
like a piece of carpet stuck on it's back lifted off straight for the
barn roof. Cuchulainn and I lifted straight off the ground too. About a
foot in the air straight up. Well, Peter has stayed around now for
about 4 years and a better watch critter there never was. He is just a
great fellow.
Coming soon, pics of the pet chickens and barn cats!
